Torneo di Spada @ Hammaborg

Be part of the first sidesword tournament in Hamburg! Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you are a complete beginner, prefer to fight amongst women or want to take part in the open tournament. Alternatively you can just have fun at our Open Hall.
That’s not enough for you? No problem, the Torneo di Spada continues on October 12th in Cologne and on November 16th and 17th in Rostock!

What is going to happen?

As part of the Hammerborg Open Hall, we are organizing a sidesword tournament with three categories and inviting you to workshops. To fend of hunger Hammaborg always provides a bread roll buffet with a coffee bar.

Where is this going to take place?

Luisenweg; access via Luisenweg 20, 20537 Hamburg, Germany
The sports hall be reached by public transport via the U2 Hammer Kirche stop. More information at www.hvv.de

At what date is the Open Hall?
Tournament: 07.09.2024 | 10 am to 5 pm
Workshops: 07. and 08.09.24 | 10 am to 5 pm
Dinner together: 07.09.2024 at 7 pm

What does it cost?

The Hammaborg Open Halls have always been free of charge. We invite everyone – whether newcomer or experienced fencer – to join us to exchange ideas, fence and have fun.
But: We ask for a fee of €25 to take part in the tournament. After all, fame, prizes and a ranking in the DDHF ranking list await you. (The ranking only applies to the categories “women” and “open tournament”)

I want to participate, what do I have to do?

We ask the following people to register:
– Participants in the tournament
– Helpers (We are still looking for judges, people for the reception and to make coffee)
– Participants in the joint dinner. We will meet up at the dinner Old MacDonald (Old MacDonald – American Diner & Sportsbar, Stellinger Weg 33, 20255 Hamburg). We ask you to register so that we can make reservations in good time.

Everyone else is welcome to come to the Open Hall spontaneously and without registration.

You can register here!

I would like to register for the tournament, what categories are there?

Beginners have less than 2 years of HEMA experience and have participated in a maximum of one tournament.
In this category, women have the option of staying among themselves if they prefer not to fight against men.
The open tournament is open to everyone and is particularly suitable for those who have been using the sidesword for some time.

In general, the framework rules of the DDHF and the Bolognese rule set apply. Please inform yourself here about protective clothing and weapons.
